The firestorm surrounding Duck Dynasty star Phil Robertson‘s suspension from his show, following publication of racially offensive and homophobic remarks, has been as inescapable as a Sharknado over a tar pit. On this week’s edition of SNL‘s “Weekend Update,” the show’s comedy writers became just the latest to weigh in on the controversy. With only half the week to come up with something, SNL fans had to make do with these choice news gags, rather than a longer bit.
