Spicer Criticizes the Press for ‘Fascination With Process’ Over Nunes on White House Grounds

White House Press Secretary Sean Spicer responded to questions about House Intelligence Committee Chairman Devin Nunes being on White House grounds last week by criticizing the press’ “fascination with process.”

CBS’ Major Garrett asked Spicer about whether he has more information on Nunes after saying on Monday he would look into it. Spicer did not have anything new to share with the press today.

“It’s interesting,” he remarked, “that there seems to be this fascination with the process. It’s how did he get here, what door did he enter, as opposed to what’s the substance of what we’re finding,”

Garrett pushed back and said that Nunes’ actions are certainly an important part of this story, but Spicer wouldn’t have it. “We can’t cherry-pick every time you decide that a piece of information is relevant to what you want,” he said.
