TBT: Old Clip Resurfaces of Louis C.K. Defending Masturbation on His FX Series Louie
On Thursday afternoon, The New York Times broke another Hollywood bombshell, detailing sexual misconduct allegations against comedian Louis C.K. — with multiple women claiming the comic masturbated in front of them.
Since the allegations came to light, an old clip from his FX series Louie has resurfaced of him defending masturbation.
In the clip, Louis C.K. debated his position on Fox News with Greg Gutfeld, playing himself, and a character named Ellen Farber of a fictional group called “Christians Against Masturbation.”
Gutfeld jokingly introduced the comedian as “an aficionado” in masturbating who is even “known for his prolific masturbating,” adding that C.K. “brags about it.”
“You’re the only person we could find who would come here to defend masturbation,” Gutfeld told the comic.
“Well, I like it,” C.K. responded. “It’s fun, it’s easy, and nobody gets hurt.”
After his debate opponent claimed that God watches everyone, including married people having sex, the comedian countered by saying that masturbation is like “porn” and that God “probably masturbates.”
“How could you tell people not to masturbate?” C.K. asked. “I mean, nobody cannot not do it.”
He went on to claim that Napoleon, Gandhi, Joan Jett, and Shakespeare have all masturbated.
‘It’s like telling people not to breathe!” the comedian exclaimed. “It’s not fair!”
C.K. later had an outburst against the anti-masturbation activist, saying masturbation “keeps him sane.”
“I’m a good citizen. I’m a good father. I recycle. And I masturbate,” C.K. declared. “And I’m proud of it.”
He wrapped out the discussion by telling her that he was going to “think about her” when he masturbates later on.
Louie is loosely based on C.K.’s life. C.K. plays title character — a fictionalized version of himself. The show aired on FX from 2010-2015.
