Trump Blasts Democrats Over Investigations, Quotes Frank Luntz on Fox: ‘What Have You Accomplished?’
President Donald Trump quoted Republican pollster Frank Luntz on Fox News this morning as he decried the Democratic investigations continuing after the completion of Robert Mueller‘s.
Luntz appeared on Fox News’ Cavuto Live this morning to speak with guest host David Asman about public opinion on this issue.
“I’ve done a couple sessions with voters since the Mueller report was released,” Luntz said, “and there’s one word to summarize all of this, and that word is: enough. Enough of these investigations, enough of these subpoenas. People believe that the Mueller report was extensive. They believe it was comprehensive. They know that a lot of money was spent and they’re not necessarily sure it was spent the right way or a helpful way, and they simply want it to stop.”
He said most people are concerned about “quality of life changes” and other big policy issues than investigations being pursued by Democrats:
“I have a simple question to ask, and this is very frustrating because I believe the investigation was the right thing to do, but it’s been done. What have you accomplished? Speaker Pelosi, Democrats in Congress, what have you accomplished in the first 100 days? The public can’t see it and that’s the reason why Congress still has abysmal approval ratings.”
The president was clearly watching Fox News this morning, and as he tweeted out quotes from several segments, he shared Luntz’s comments as well:
I have not read the Mueller Report yet, even though I have every right to do so. Only know the conclusions, and on the big one, No Collusion. Likewise, recommendations made to our great A.G. who found No Obstruction. 13 Angry Trump hating Dems (later brought to 18) given two…..

…..years and $30 million, and they found No Collusion, No Obstruction. But the Democrats, no matter what we give them, will NEVER be satisfied. A total waste of time. As @FrankLuntz has just stated, “Enough, America has had enough. What have you accomplished. Public is fed up.”

Luntz was the subject of a recent Politico report on how he has gone from “Trump enemy” to someone helping shape the White House’s messaging through his friendship with and advice to acting chief of staff Mick Mulvaney.
