Trump Puffs Up GOP Congressman on Twitter Right After Fox News Does Interview With Him

This afternoon, President Donald Trump took to his Twitter account to toss some major praise at a GOP congressman. And, just as we’ve seen with so many of his tweets beforehand, the impetus for said tweet was a Fox News segment.

Rep. Ron DeSantis (R-FL) showed up for an interview with Fox’s Harris Faulkner to talk about the recent report that the Obama administration thwarted an anti-Hezbollah task force. Minutes after the interview ended, Trump sent out the following tweet:

Congressman Ron DeSantis is a brilliant young leader, Yale and then Harvard Law, who would make a GREAT Governor of Florida. He loves our Country and is a true FIGHTER!

As you can see in the tweet above, Trump says that DeSantis is a “brilliant young leader” who would “make a GREAT Governor of Florida.”

Now, Trump tweeting while watching Fox is obviously nothing new. But, wasn’t he supposed to be traveling down to Mar-a-Lago at that time? Well, yeah. He was watching Fox News on Air Force One.
