Trump Teases Marjorie Taylor Greene’s Reporter Boyfriend for Pitching Him on Her Bill

President Donald Trump teased Real America Voice’s White House correspondent Brian Glenn on Tuesday after Glenn pitched the president on a bill his girlfriend is pushing in the House.

“Mr. President, can I follow up on the housing question. We’ve got no tax on deaths, no tax on overtime, no taxes on social security,” began Glenn, who is also dating Rep. Marjorie Taylor Greene (R-GA).

“How important is it that we have no tax on home sales, capital gains, to unleash the housing market?” he then asked.

“Well, we’re thinking about that, but would also unleash it just by lowering the interest rates. If the Fed would lower the rates, we wouldn’t even have to do that. But we are thinking about no tax on capital gains on houses. And I’m very impressed that you asked that question because nobody knew that. How did you find that out?” Trump joked as others in the room made comments as well.

“That’s right. There’s a leaker, there’s a leaker,” Trump continued, roasting Glenn for his supposedly inside information.

Greene announced she was sponsoring the “No Tax on Home Sales Act” earlier in the month, which would eliminate federal capital gains tax on the sale of primary homes.

“Families who work hard, build equity, and sell their homes should not be punished with massive tax bills,” Greene said in a statement. “The capital gains tax on home sales is an outdated, unfair burden — especially in today’s housing market, where values have skyrocketed. My bill fixes that.”
