Tucker Carlson Calls Obama a ‘Hater’ Who’s ‘Inflaming’ Racial Wounds

Tucker Carlson called former President Barack Obama a “hater” on his show Tuesday night for his comments about right-wing media capitalizing on white Americans’ fears and about critical race theory.

Obama sat down with CNN’s Anderson Cooper for a lengthy interview that aired Monday night. During one part of the conversation, Obama talked about “certain right-wing media venues, for example, that monetize and capitalize on stoking the fear and resentment of a white population that is witnessing a changing America and seeing demographic changes, and do everything they can to give people a sense that their way of life is threatened and that people are trying to take advantage of them.”

Carlson said Tuesday night that Obama “spent eight years dividing the country along racial lines” and is still doing it.

“But he is back to let you know if you have any problem with your kids’ teachers telling them that some races are better than others, then you, my friend, are the racist.”

Obama also mocked the amount of attention conservatives and right-wing media has given to critical race theory, given everything going on in the country.

“That guy is a hater. For real,” Carlson said.

He went on to ask Horace Cooper, “Every time there’s a racial wound, it does seem like Obama reemerges to inflame it. Why not just retire?”

Cooper responded by saying the former U.S. president has “repressed resentment of America.”
