WATCH: Journalist Interrupts WH Briefing to Point Out ‘There’s No Seat Here in This Room for Disabled Journalists’

White House Press Secretary Karine Jean-Pierre declined to address a reporter who called out her press briefings for supposedly not providing a place for disabled journalists.

Jean-Pierre’s press briefing on Monday included a litany of questions about Rep’s Jamaal Bowman’s use of the fire alarm, the Matt GaetzKevin McCarthy feud, and how close the government came to a shutdown on Saturday.

As the briefing neared the end, a member of the press pool tried to get through to Jean-Pierre, exclaiming, “Karine, about disability, there is no seat here in this room for disabled journalists.”

The press secretary declined to address the outburst, moving on to a question about President Joe Biden’s conversations with McCarthy. She wrapped up the meeting after two more minutes of questions, but as Jean-Pierre stepped away from the podium, the reporter once called out, “there’s no seat for disabled journalists.”

Again, Jean-Pierre did not respond as she walked away. The exchange came as President Biden was to deliver remarks to celebrate the Americans with Disabilities Act.
