WATCH LIVE: Astronaut Steps Out to Repair International Space Station

 

On Christmas Eve, two astronauts will step out of the International Space Station to replace a coolant pump nearly two weeks after the valve crippled the station.

Spacewalkers Rick Mastracchio and Mike Hopkins are expected to spend more than six hours in space installing a refrigerator-sized coolant pump module. They’re being assisted by Japanese astronaut Koichi Wakata, who operates the station’s robotic arms.
