WATCH: Pro-Palestine Demonstrators Storm Stage at Event With Navy Secretary
Four pro-Palestinian demonstrators disrupted a national security event Monday featuring US Navy Secretary John Phelan, storming the stage during a discussion hosted by defense contractor Palantir Technologies.
Phelan, who serves under President Donald Trump, was appearing alongside Palantir’s Head of Defense and former Republican Congressman Mike Gallagher.
Three demonstrators held a banner reading “PALANTIR KILLS IN GAZA SURVEILS AT HOME,” while another waved a Palestinian flag.
“Over 50,000 people have been killed!” one protester yelled, referencing the reported Palestinian death toll in Gaza amid Israel’s ongoing war with Hamas.
Despite the disruption, Phelan continued speaking to the audience. Event organizers and security personnel quickly moved to remove the demonstrators from the stage.
Following the protest, an unidentified event host addressed the audience over the PA system.
“How wonderful, Mr. Secretary, to live in a country where people are allowed to speak their mind,” the speaker said. “The adversaries we’re up against—whether they’re the genocidal communists in Beijing or the Salafi jihadists in the Middle East—don’t allow such luxuries of their own citizens. So apologies for the interruption.”
Gallagher and Phelan were speaking on a panel titled “Maritime Dominance” when protesters interrupted the event. It was not immediately clear how the demonstrators were able to get so close to Phelan.
The future of American maritime dominance is on display. 🇺🇸🚢

Palantir has come under fire from activist groups over its work with US and allied military operations, including reported support for Israeli targeting systems.
The company has also faced domestic criticism for its government surveillance technology used by law enforcement and immigration agencies.
