George Santos Says He’s Proud of Himself in First Cameo Appearance, Gets Roasted by Recipient

Congressman turned Cameo star George Santos lavished praise on himself during his first appearance on the platform, which allows consumers to pay for short personalized video messages from celebrities.

“Megan, how are you, darling? I hear that you’re getting some tough heat in the press and that life might be a little rocky now. Let me tell you something: If you believe in what you stand for, and if you fight for what you do, and you stand by those convictions, screw the haters,” began Santos.

“The haters are gonna hate,” he continued. “Look, they can boot me out of Congress, but they can’t take away my good humor or my larger than life personality, nor my good faith and the absolute pride I have for everything I’ve done. So this is about you, Megan! Be yourself unapologetically! Just love yourself, just make sure that you don’t buy into the hate, and stand your ground and don’t let them force you out, don’t let them bully you. You do you, girl! I’m cheering for you.”

He concluded the video with a mock kiss.

Santos first became a household name after the fact that he had outright fabricated a number of outlandish biographical and professional details about himself shortly after being elected to Congress in 2022. Later, Santo was indicted by the Department of Justice for financial crimes committed on the campaign trail.

He was expelled from the House of Representatives last week by a vote of 311-114.

On X, Nebraska State Senator Megan Hunt (D) said that a friend had commissioned the video for her as a joke/present.

“Gift of the year from my friend Rebecca. Thank you @MrSantosNY!” she said before blasting Santos as “a transphobic fool who has defrauded and harmed people, who says what he has to say to get attention and probably doesn’t actually hold any personal moral convictions.”
