Hillbilly Elegy Scribe JD Vance Furiously Deletes Tweets Dragging ‘Reprehensible’ Trump Ahead of Senate Run
Hillbilly Elegy author and GOP Senate hopeful J.D. Vance furiously deleted any trace of his former criticisms of ex-President Donald Trump from his Twitter account, but tweets are forever.
Vance formally announced his candidacy for the United States Senate seat being vacated by Republican incumbent Rob Portman on Thursday, but CNN K-File author Andrew Kaczynski used the occasion to comb through Vance’s Twitter feed for deleted tweets slamming Trump as “reprehensible” and boasting about voting for Evan McMullin instead of Trump.
JD Vance voted for Evan McMullin in 2016 and Josh Mandel has had a four month headstart on the strategy of sending provocative tweets to get ratioed on purpose to get support. Find it hard to see how he wins an Ohio primary.

And if Kaczynski is correct, Vance appears to have noticed.
Is he referring to people posting his old tweets in which he disparaged Trump as going after him? https://t.co/uZMm1afLeL

As the Cinncinati Enquirer notes, Vance wades into a crowded GOP field that includes “former Ohio Republican Party chair Jane Timken, former state treasurer Josh Mandel, car dealer Bernie Moreno and investment banker Mike Gibbons.”
