‘I’m Not Making This Up!’ CNN’s Reporter On Scene at Surreal MAGA Rally Awkwardly Reports on Trump’s Arnold Palmer Penis Story

A CNN correspondent who was on scene at the MAGA rally in Latrobe, PA Saturday awkwardly reported on former President Donald Trump’s bizarre anecdote about golf legend Arnold Palmer’s genitalia.

As part of a live hit from Latrobe, CNN’s Steve Contorno had the unenviable task of summing up Trump’s comments to the crowd.

“Arnold Palmer was all man,” Trump had said earlier. “And I say that at all due respect to women. And I love women. But this guy, this guy. This is a guy that was all man. This man was strong and tough…And I refuse to say it. But when he took showers with the other pros, they came out of there. They said, ‘Oh my God! That’s unbelievable.’”

Here’s how Contorno described the surreal remarks — seeming to recognize the absurdity of the moment.

“Trump’s campaign telling us that tonight’s appearance in this speech that he is giving is the beginning of his closing argument to voters that he is going to deliver over the next couple weeks. And that closing argument began rather… interestingly. He started with a long-winded story about Latrobe, Pennsylvania native Arnold Palmer, including — and I’m not making this up — a description of the Hall of Fame golfer in the men’s room, in the locker room, and what he looked like in the shower!”

Contorno then reported on two other head-scratching comments from Trump which got overshadowed by the Palmer riff.

“He then went into more conversation about how his hair looked in his his combing regiments,” Contorno said. “And then he also accused Joe Biden, a Catholic, of targeting Catholic Americans.”
