‘Proud Black American’ Trump Fan Next To Huge Cart Of Merch Tells C-SPAN ‘Thank God God Put Trump In Office!’

A self-identified “proud Black American” named Big Joe told C-SPAN ‘Thank God that God put Trump in office!” as he sat in front of a shopping cart groaning with merchandise celebrating the inauguration of President Donald Trump.

Cable News outlets went all in on their coverage of Trump’s inauguration Monday. CNN’s Jake Tapper was joined by a galaxy of CNN anchors and personalities like John KingDana Bash, Kaitlan Collins, Anderson CooperMaggie Haberman, and many more for CNN’s live coverage of Trump’s inauguration to a second term.

Over on MSNBC, hosts like Rachel Maddow, Joy Reid, and others covered the proceedings with something akin to horror, while Fox News Channel’s coverage was co-anchored by Bret Baier and Martha MacCallum.

But C-SPAN did something a little different. In addition to aiming their cameras to capture the inaugural balls, Trump’s victory rally, and the various related events, they rolled out “unfiltered” coverage as well.

C-SPAN billed “Presidential Inauguration Unfiltered” as “Coverage with no commentary and live, raw feeds of the swearing-in ceremonies and related events for the inauguration of Donald J. Trump and JD Vance to be the President and Vice President of the United States.”

It included cameras outside key locations — including outside Union Station, where a man on a disability scooter gushed about Trump against a backdrop of a cart piled high with Trump merch:

BIG JOE: If they have a problem with Trump, I have a problem with them! Because you know what? If it wasn’t for this man standing up for our rights, you know, everything, we would be in a crazy, crazy situation!

Thank God that God put Trump in office! And I am so honored and happy to be here. That I tell you– my name is Big Joe. And I am proud to be an American– a Black American! And I am happy! Make America great again!

Alright, my friend (LAUGHS) Take care.

UNIDENTIFIED: My man! Thank you very much.
