Independent presidential candidate Robert F. Kennedy Jr.’s running mate Nicole Shanahan praised former Fox News host Tucker Carlson at a recent campaign event, even going so far as to say that she and Carlson “are so on the same page in every single way.”

“I’ve spent the last four days here in Maine and I’ve had some really incredible experiences,” began Shanahan at an event in Kittery, Maine. “I, and actually I was chatting with Tucker Carlson and I have a funny Tucker Carlson story, which I’ll start with. And, when I was 18, I saved up all of my money from three different jobs because I was dying to see Tucker Carlson debate James Carville in New York on Crossfire. And so I flew out there and, you know, being young, idealistic Democrat, I really thought Tucker Carlson was the bad guy. And so I went out there and I stared at him in his red bow tie, and I was like, ‘You are not it! You know, you’re gonna lose this!'”

“And here we are in 2024,” she continued, “And I’m sitting across from Tucker, and he and I are so on the same page in every single way. Yeah! We are on the same page because we have left establishment thinking once and for all.”

Kennedy, Shanahan, and Carlson are anti-vaccine activists who have embraced fringe conspiracy theories. In 2021, Carlson described Kennedy as one of the smartest and most articulate chroniclers of the erosion of our civil liberties.
