‘Shame on You, Congresswoman’: Dershowitz Slams Rashida Tlaib for Dodging Reporter’s Question About Hamas Killings

Former Harvard Law professor Alan Dershowitz denounced Rep. Rashida Tlaib (D-MI) for refusing to comment when confronted about the recent Hamas atrocities against Jews.

Dershowitz appeared on Fox Business Network with Larry Kudlow on Wednesday.

Kudlow played video of Tlaib dodging reporters in the halls of Congress when asked if she had a comment “about Hamas chopping off babies’ heads.”

Tlaib, who is of Palestinian descent, was widely criticized for continuing to display a Palestinian flag outside her Capitol Hill office after Hamas launched a series of terrorist attacks in Israel, killing more than 1,000. She is a member of the so-called “Squad” of ultra-left-wing House members.

“She won’t even comment on chopping off babies’ heads, children’s heads,” Kudlow said. “And she has a Palestinian flag hanging outside of her office. She is a U.S. congresswoman. I don’t deny her right to have her opinions. I don’t think you do either, Professor, but I think there is a certain point of just basic in-humanitarianism that we have to get past in this country. There has to be a conversation. Right now there is no conversation. This woman is an extremist. She is a bad apple, in my opinion.”

“You have to have a single standard,” Dershowitz said, continuing:

Would she have refused to comment if there were a member of Congress who supported lynching of African Americans, as some did back in the 1910s, 1920s? This is the same. These are lynching. More Israelis were lynched in one day than African Americans were lynched in any 10-year period in history, and we have to think of these as lynchings, and we ask to ask people who justifiably always oppose lynchings, and would oppose them today, how they can remain silent in the face of this. Shame on you, Congresswoman.
