Trump Fans Stunned to Hear His Actual Laugh in Unearthed Clip — Even Haters Admit ‘He’s So F**king Funny’
An unearthed clip has fans and foes of President Donald Trump marveling at what they say is a rare authentic laugh from Trump — and even some of his haters admit he was funny in his role as reality TV host.
Just in time for Amazon’s streaming rollout of Trump’s The Apprentice series, entertainment writer Will Sloan has dug up a clip from Celebrity Apprentice that features what several fans claim is a rare authentic chortle from Trump.
“Good news, I’ve found a Celebrity Apprentice clip that has haunted me for 13 years,” Sloan wrote above the season 5 clip.
The segment features a contrived scenario in which Trump needs to get across town in a hurry, and enlists the aid of racing legend Mario Andretti:
DONALD TRUMP: Yes, Mr. Mayor. No, I totally agree 100%.
ASSISTANT: Mr. Trump! You’re going to be late for the finale!
DONALD TRUMP: Get me the fastest driver anywhere in the world!
ASSISTANT: Yes, Mr. Trump!
DONALD TRUMP: I have to go now. We’re doing a live finale of Celebrity Apprentice. I think it’s going to be amazing. You take care of yourself.
…
DONALD TRUMP: Mario Andretti! I’m really glad it’s you! Let’s go!
MARIO ANDRETTI: Hop in, Mr. Trump. Don’t worry. I won’t mess up your hair!
DONALD TRUMP: Step on it! We’re late!
Trump lets out a brief, exuberant laugh as the racer comes to a halt.
The very first reply to Sloan is from a user who notes “He actually chuckled and gave a genuine smile. I’ve never seen that from him,” to which Sloan replied “I was just thinking that I don’t think I’ve ever seen him actually laugh”:
Yeah you found gold here Will

Others reacted to the clip with a mix of wistful nostalgia for Trump’s pre-politics days and his humor, surprise at the laugh, and some mockery:
i hate that he’s so evil bc he’s so fucking funny https://t.co/kr5WyDSci0

The most redeeming feature about Trump is that he is genuinely extremely funny. I wish he had just remained goofy popular culture television star instead of destroying the entire Western alliance system https://t.co/g2dcg3n0nL pic.twitter.com/qJB9s4JWcc

The more I hear about Trump’s television shows, the more I understand his undeniably incredible celebrity instincts. https://t.co/3uZeTTrqu7

I’ve been trying to find dvd box sets of the original apprentice series to trawl through for content/memes and this sort of stuff is why – we’re sitting on a goldmine here https://t.co/fILZcKzGRE

I loved this show downnnn as a kid, why couldn’t he have just stayed a reality tv host https://t.co/99LcTGFRBQ

My dad loved this show. He would rave about what a shrewd businessman Trump was. Now he hates him so much I try to avoid politics around him. Any time I’d walk by the tv while it was on one of the Baldwins would be selling hotdogs or trying to start a T shirt business. https://t.co/URWXLPFziN

If your ever been in a position like that, you know the exact feeling. Mario absolutely gave him a proper ride.
