Trump Hawks ‘Trump Was Right’ Hats In Stunning Oval Office Scene — Throws One To Eager MAGA Reporter As NBCer Says ‘I’ll Pass’
President Donald Trump hawked “Trump Was Right About Everything” hats in a stunning scene that had an NBC News reporter refusing to accept one as a gift — but another eagerly accepting a thrown chapeau.
Real America’s Voice Chief White House Correspondent Brian Glenn rose to prominence by hosting rally coverage for pro-Trump media outlet Right Side Broadcasting Network (RSBN), which broadcasts all of the former president’s rallies and has widely been described as “Trump TV.”
But these days, Glenn is a reliable presence at the White House, where he is among a cadre of MAGA media reporters who enjoy unprecedented influence at briefings and press conferences.
During a signing event in the Oval Office, Trump took questions from the press pool — a press pool that the White House has just seized control over from the White House Correspondents Association (WHCA) — and Glenn was there for every minute.
At one point, Trump instructed Secretary of Commerce Howard Lutnick to bring him a stack of “Trump Was Right About Everything” hats and offered one to NBC News Senior White House Correspondent Garrett Haake, who declined.
Glenn volunteered and eagerly caught the hat that Trump threw to him:
PRESIDENT DONALD TRUMP: Here. Give me this. Here. Give me all of them. Look. Yes. See that? Trump was right about everything. Just came in.
RAV’S BRIAN GLENN: (LAUGHS REALLY HARD)
PRESIDENT DONALD TRUMP: Somebody sent–. I said this was sent in by a fan.
(LAUGHS MORE)
PRESIDENT DONALD TRUMP: I said, I think we should make some of them. Right? But we were pretty much.
You want one?
NBC NEWS’S GARRETT HAAKE: I’ll pass for now.
PRESIDENT DONALD TRUMP: Are you allowed to take one?
NBC NEWS’S GARRETT HAAKE: Probably not. Because he’ll consider it. I know him well.
RAV’S BRIAN GLENN: Mr. President, I’ll take one!
PRESIDENT DONALD TRUMP: He’s sort of a stiff. Brian, you’re not a stiff. He’s sort of a stiff guy. You know he’ll take other things, but not a free hat.
SEC. HOWARD LUTNICK: Always say yes to the president! Always say yes to the president!
PRESIDENT DONALD TRUMP: Would anybody like one?
