‘You Can Triple It!’ Trump Says He Got 75 Million Votes — But ‘The Real’ Number Is 225 Million In Terms of ‘The Feeling’

Former President Donald Trump made a bizarre new claim when he told Univision he got 75 million votes, but then added “You can double it or almost you can triple it in terms of the real — the feeling.”

In a new interview for Univision Noticias, Enrique Acevedo questioned Trump for nearly an hour on a wide variety of topics — and very frequently elicited lengthy and wandering responses filled with Trump’s characteristic aside.

One of those had to do with President Joe Biden’s defeat of Trump in an electoral and popular landslide that has been reaffirmed over and over by state officials from Trump’s own party — and is the subject of dozens of felony charges against Trump.

As he ranted about the indictments against him, Trump boasted about the 75 million votes (it was closer to 74 million — Biden got over 81 million) — and made a rather hazy claim about doubling or tripling that number “in terms of the real — the feeling” whatever that means:

What they’ve done is they’ve released the genie out of the box. You understand that They’ve done something that nobody thought would happen. They’ve taken a president who is very popular. I got 75 million votes, much more than that. I believe no president’s ever gotten that many votes and they’ve taken that number of people. And I think you can double it or almost you can triple it in terms of the real the feeling.

You can’t do that. You can’t go after people. You know, when you’re president and you’ve done a good job and you’re popular, you don’t go after them so you can win an election. They’ve done indictments in order to win an election. They call it weaponization, and the people aren’t going to stand for it.

It goes on like that for a few more minutes.
