Ari Fleischer Warns Trump: ‘Stop Talking, You’re Heading Into a Giant Perjury Trap’

Former press secretary Ari Fleischer is warning President Trump that he ought to stop talking about the ongoing Russia investigations before he ends up saying something he’ll come to regret.

Ever since James Comey‘s testimony on Thursday, Trump has largely celebrated how he was supposedly “vindicated” from the possibility that he or his associates coordinated with Russia’s efforts to mess with the 2016 election. Former FBI Director Robert Mueller is still leading a special probe on the matter however, and Fleischer says Trump should remember that the investigation isn’t over until Mueller says its over.

Advice 4 POTUS: You have not been vindicated. U won't be unless Bob Mueller says so. Stop talking. You're heading into a giant perjury trap.

Earlier today, Trump said Comey acted “cowardly” with how he arranged for the press to see his personal memos. Comey said on Thursday’s hearing that he arranged for his memos to be released through an associate.
