Joe Biden, welcome to the fight.
The Vice President of the United States sat for an interview on Morning Joe today and spoke candidly to Mika Brzezinski and Joe Scarborough about the shortcomings of the GOP’s nominee, Donald Trump. And in typical Biden fashion, the VP pulled no punches, hitting Trump hard on his lack of global policy chops.

“The truth is, Donald Trump knows nothing about foreign policy,” said the man who will speak to the Democratic National Convention crowd tonight in Philadelphia. “Nor should he based upon his background.”
“But the thing that bothers me… is I don’t see any attempt from him to go out and get people who really know on the Republican side,” Biden continued, noting some of the key flaws that the real estate mogul has exposed regarding his knowledge of global affairs.
“This whole thing about NATO…” Vice President Biden said about the recent flap from Trump regarding our global allies. “He’s playing directly into the hands of a guy who says… his overarching goal — [Vladimir] Putin — is to break up NATO and to fracture Europe. It makes his stronger.” Trump recently told The New York Times that he would consider suspending support for our key NATO allies if they weren’t, “paying their bills.” According to Biden, it dangerously threatens Article 5 of the NATO Treaty, which the Vice President identifies as the, “single most significant treaty in the history of mankind.”
“I don’t think he knows what Article 5 is,” Biden admitted. “But if you’re gonna be President of the United States of America, hey, you better know.”
