Bill O’Reilly: I Offered Sarah Sanders to Stand at Press Briefings and Scold ‘Out of Line’ Reporters

Bill O’Reilly is mostly sticking to his online show these days, but over the weekend the ex-Fox News host mingled at an event that included White House Press Secretary Sarah Huckabee Sanders.
Had the chance to speak with @PressSec over the weekend. Very smart woman. Told her that the press is not treating her well but the folks know she’s a patriot. Also said she has the toughest job in the country right now. I’ll tell you about it on https://t.co/fqUvO5EEW0 tonight.

On Monday night’s No Spin News, per The Hollywood Reporter, O’Reilly said he had a suggestion for the press secretary:
“I said, ‘Ms. Sanders, with all due respect, if you ever need me to stand next to you in those press briefings, I will volunteer to do that. And, if somebody gets out of line, I will tell them exactly what I think of their behavior,’ ” O’Reilly said.
In response to his suggestion, which he said was an “honest offer,” Sanders laughed. O’Reilly told her that Trump, who he has known for decades, is “just flamboyant enough to maybe be OK it.”
O’Reilly––who left Fox News after reports on multiple settlements to women who alleged sexual harassment from the former Factor host––said he also offered praise to Huckabee Sanders for the job she’s been doing, given the “enormous amount of abuse” she’s taken.
