Nikolas Cruz Has Reportedly Confessed to Florida High School Shooting [UPDATED]

Suspected Parkland, FL school shooter Nikolas Cruz has reportedly confessed.

According to the Associated Press, citing a police report, the 19-year-old admitted that he committed the mass-shooting, and hid extra ammunition in his backpack.

Earlier Thursday, Cruz appeared in court — where he was officially charged with 17 counts of murder. Cruz did not answer the charges, and is being held without bond.

UPDATE 5:22 p.m. EST

According to AP, suspect Cruz stopped by both Subway and McDonald’s after allegedly shooting up the school.

UPDATE 5:30 p.m. EST

The New York Times has published details from Cruz’s arrest report, with police writing that the suspect “began shooting students that he saw in the hallways and on school grounds.”

Broward County authorities also conducted a press conference in which they confirmed that Cruz bought the AR-15 allegedly used in the incident lawfully, at a gun shop in Coral Springs, Florida, one year ago.
