Parkland Survivors Slam Jack Kingston For Claiming They’re Being Coached By Dems: ‘Very Despicable’

Earlier, we posted about a segment on CNN’s New Day in which Jack Kingston — a former Republican Congressman from Georgia and current CNN political commentator — claimed that the survivors of the Parkland, FL school shooting who have been vocal and politically active in the wake of the tragedy have been coached and aided in planning rallies by progressive organizations.

“Their sorrow can very easily be hijacked by left-wing groups,” Kingston said. He added, “Do we really think 17-year-olds on their own are going to plan a nationwide rally? I would say to you very plainly that organized groups that are out there, like [those run by Moveon.org founder] George Soros, are always ready to take up the charge. It’s kind of like instant rally, instant protest and groups are ready to take it to the streets.”

Shortly after Kingston’s segment, two Parkland survivors appeared with Alisyn Camerota and called on the former Congressman to apologize.

“I think it’s very despicable that he would even have the audacity to say that,” said Brandon Abzug. “Young people across this country and over the world should feel that they have the power to make things right, especially in the wake of a tragedy, we really show who we truly are. So to say that just because we’re young, we can’t make a difference, is not right. And he should apologize for that.”

“With any movement, there comes this amount of hating, and trolling, and people telling you you’re just a little kid, you don’t know what you’re talking about, or you’re a puppet,” Delaney Tarr added. “But ultimately, we have to move past all that because the amount of support we’re getting is so overwhelming compared to everything else.”
