Canadian Women’s Hockey Team Drinks IOC Under The Table
The IOC does not approve of fun! Okay…that is an overstatement, but they are certainly are being overly retentive about the rules in the worst sort of way when it comes to the gold medal winning Canadian women’s hockey team. After last night’s victory over Team USA, the Canadian women apparently took to the ice (after the arena emptied out) for some extended celebrating which included cigars and beer. The IOC did not like this, though they have since backed off talk of banning the girls from the closing ceremony. Olympian women partying…gasp!
Perhaps the girls would have done better to pose almost nude in a calendar! That’s what some women curlers have done (yes, yes, to raise money), which, as Business Insider points out, may explain at least part of the reason Wall St. is currently so obsessed with curling. Video of the awesome, victorious, athletic Canadian women’s hockey team below.
