CNN Editor Recounts Her Run-In with TSA, Frisking
Very few people like flying, for reasons involving other passengers and the TSA. Well, yesterday, CNN national news editor AnneClaire Stapleton tweeted about her less-than-pleasant run-in with the TSA over something suspicious on her hands.
And what set off suspicions? Well, she had cheesy popcorn on her hands.
Here’s Stapleton’s tweets of the incident:
My hands have Garrett's cheese popcorn on my fingers so TSA is concerned. Seriously? About to miss my flight

Was taken to TSA's back room to get the full rub down after my hands were swiped & alerted machine for something suspicious.

The suspiciousness on my hands? According to the lovely TSA lady rubbing me down, must have been the soap on my recently washed hands (Cont)

Morale of the story? Don't wash your hands prior to TSA check. Disturbing…

And, amusingly enough, Garrett Popcorn tweeted back at her about the frisking:
@AnneClaireCNN Oh my! That's crazy! TSA needs to learn about #HandcraftedHappiness ;)

Next step: getting stopped by the TSA for Dorito fingers. Mmm mmm…
