CNN Snaps Back at Eric Trump for Claiming Network Wouldn’t Cover Father’s Harvey Donation

CNN offered a really snarky comeback after Eric Trump erroneously claimed that the network would never acknowledge his father’s pledge to donate $1 million to Hurricane Harvey relief efforts.
Press Secretary Sarah Huckabee Sanders told reporters about the president’s planned personal donation on Thursday, and CNN was on top of news shortly after the end of the White House press briefing. However, this did not occur to the president’s son, who three hours later sent out a snide tweet about how the media will never cover his dad’s generosity:
So proud!!! Let’s see if @CNN or the #MSM acknowledges this incredible generosity. My guess: they won’t… https://t.co/hTQd2qnsR2

That was the Trump scion’s take, and here’s what CNN’s communications division had to say about it:
You guessed wrong. We covered the pledge online and on-air well before your tweet. ?♂️ pic.twitter.com/j9QgnxXgve
