Dude Gets Shot in the Chest, Smokes Cigarette During Live TV Interview Right After
I watched the following video a few times before I really felt like I got it. I couldn’t believe it was real. I looked up the reporter in the clip. I double-checked the source of the video. I made sure it isn’t April 1. Finally, I can say with some certainty that yes, this is a real newscast that shows a man who was just shot in the chest casually discussing the “petty wound,” showing off his bloody bandages, and smoking a cigarette.
The victim is a Quincy, IL, resident named DeVon and he ain’t trippin’. No, on the contrary, DeVon is a national hero. So is Reyna Harvey, the journalist who handled the whole shocking situation with grace and skill.
The shooting, which took place in the very early hours of this morning, came as a surprise to DeVon, who simply shrugged and said some people “probably want [him] dead” and are “on some other stuff.” A bullet flew through the window of the room he was “chillin’, kickin'” in and his first thought was to get his son out of the room rather than tend to his wound.
He lifted his shirt to showcase his bloody bandages, but the best part of the video might just be when Harvey kicks it back to the studio and an almost unfazed-looking Chad Douglas deadpans that the event was “incredible.”
