Once again, President Trump‘s star on the Hollywood Walk of Fame has been destroyed.
Reports and pictures from the scene show that the star was completely reduced to rubble this morning. NBCLA reporter Jonathan Gonzalez says that the destruction was caused by a man who approached the star with a pickaxe he carried inside of a guitar case
So this just happened again… somebody used a pick axe to destroy Donald Trump's star on the Walk of Fame. Still trying to learn more, but we know it's been vandalized multiple times, just never on this level. @NBCLA ?: Victor Park/Loudlabs pic.twitter.com/lzq7YrsSRV

A similar incident happened in 2016 when Trump’s star was crushed by a sledgehammer-wielding vandal. The suspect was arrested shortly after that episode and the star was replaced by the Los Angeles Chamber of Commerce.
Trump received his star in 2007 because of his reality TV days as the head of The Apprentice. Even though the desecration isn’t always as extreme as this latest incident, the star is protested on a regular basis by the president’s detractors.
UPDATE: The Hollywood Reporter‘s Ryan Parker says the LAPD has made an arrest connected to the destruction.
