George Clooney Apologizes for Ruining Batman
The world’s most famous newlywed George Clooney made a surprise appearance Thursday at New York Comic-Con, where he met with fellow Batman actor Adam West and apologized for his own turn as the caped crusader in 1997’s Batman & Robin.
While promoting his upcoming film, Disney’s Tomorrowland, Clooney joked to the crowd:
I think since Batman that I’ve been disinvited from Comic-Con for 20 years. I see the comment sections on all you guys. I just met Adam West there [referring to NYCC backstage] and I apologized to him. Sorry about the nipples on the suit. Freeze, Freeze, I apologize for that.
Mr. Freeze was Arnold Schwarzenegger‘s goofy villain in Batman & Robin, the superhero film often considered among the worst movies of all time.
America will likely accept the apology from Gorgeous George.
