Glenn Beck Agrees With…Alec Baldwin?

You may remember that, yesterday, we posted a video of actor Alec Baldwin paying a little visit to downtown Manhattan, where he cleaned up a bit around Zuccotti Park and had a chat with Occupy Wall Street protesters. When asked for his opinions on the Fed, Baldwin explained that he’d need to know more about how it all worked, but felt that the SEC doesn’t “do anything.”

Well, now Glenn Beck, of all people, is voicing his agreement with Baldwin… on the surface, anyway. Baldwin, after all, may just be a more sophisticated prong in a trident being sunk, slowly, into capitalism. But we’ll allow him to explain for himself…

Beck, you see, kicked things off by describing several awful things being reported from various cities participating in the “Occupy” movement, including sexual harassment and vandalism. Then, he described Baldwin as someone who is trying to seem as if he is approacing the protests with some semblance of reason, playing a clip of the actor saying that “capitalism is worthwhile.” Beck weighed in with some questions for Baldwin:

Isn’t that bizarre? What are you doing in the midst of all those people who want the destruction of the banks and capitalism? What are you doing down there?

It was noted, of course, that Baldwin is the spokesperson for Capital One banks.

Later, Beck advised his listeners to write down and heed his words, before telling them that…

Right now, what you’re seeing is the set-up, it is the introduction. There are going to be two forces behind this. There are going to be the forces on the street, the Occupy Wall Street, that they know are going to be radicalized and ugly and they know that doesn’t work. The second style is going to be what possibly you’re seeing now with Alec Baldwin.

Maybe Alec Baldwin is one of the good guys. I don’t know. But I don’t think so.
