Laura Ingraham’s Brother Has Been Trashing His ‘Shameful’ Sister on Twitter for Months
— Curtis Ingraham (@CurtisIngraham1) August 10, 2018
Hosting a prime-time cable news program comes with loads of perks. Political influence, privileged access to events, and significant monetary reward are just a few of the benefits that come with the territory of spending an hour each night in a well-lit television studio.
A risk that comes with a pundit’s success, however, is the potential that familial relationships are ripped apart under a public microscope.
Take for example Fox News host Laura Ingraham and the curious case of her brother Curtis. A Twitter account belonging to someone claiming to be her lesser-known brother has emerged as a brutally vocal critic of his sister’s politics of late, many examples of which we’ve embedded below.
When reached for comment about her brother’s strident criticism of her politics on Twitter, Laura Ingraham told Mediaite:
“My siblings and I are shocked and saddened to learn of these false and hurtful online postings. Although we’ve been estranged from him for many years, we love our brother and miss him very much.”
Curtis Ingraham’s most hot-button topic — and source of the sibling animus — seems to stem from the gun rights debate, on which Laura Ingraham is a decided proponent of the broadest definition of the 2nd amendment. She is PRO-GUN. He is not, best evidenced by the following:
As Laura Ingraham’s brother, I continue to be floored and shamed by her inflammatory remarks which serve only to harm and destroy the fabric of human decency. Is there no end?! Enough of this monstrous behavior! @davidhogg111 @FoxNews @IngrahamAngle @HuffPost #LauraIngraham

Curtis Ingraham often mentions David Hogg in his tweets, the survivor of the Parkland, Florida school shooting whose spat with Laura Ingraham spawned the boycott of her show that threatened its existence.
David Hogg is spot on. Bullies like my sister, Laura, only apologize in order to hold on and protect their position. As her brother, I can assure you these apologies are strategic and insincere. @davidhogg111 @SophiaTesfaye @KingJames

Laura Ingraham’s decidedly conservative opinion program airs in the 10 p.m. hour each night, and she consistently draws millions of viewers looking to have their own opinions reaffirmed on popular topics of the day. A proud Christian who famously dons a massive gold cross necklace on air, Laura Ingraham is a vocal supporter of the Trump agenda, something her “estranged” brother Curtis seems to take issue with.
I wish I was only pretending to be! We have become estranged over the past ten years, but were very close at one point. There are facts and stories that need to be shared that will shine a light on her hypocrisy. @ABFalecbaldwin @davidhogg111

Elsewhere, Curtis Ingraham has decried his sister’s “lack of integrity” for her support of Trump, her alleged “racist comments” aimed at a black roommate (Ingraham denied this to Mediaite), her “monstrous” opposition to gay marriage, the hypocrisy of her rhetoric on immigration given she has three adopted children.
A selection:
My sister, Laura Ingraham, needs to search her own moral closet and history as she rolls forward in support of this candidate. I can only assume a further lack of integrity. @FoxNews @Hadas_Gold #lauraigraham https://t.co/NPUh8vlLxk

Do my sister’s reckless and callous remarks have no limit? To liken these detention centers to a summer camp for children is beyond the pale…and she a mother of three adopted children. Shameful. @briantashman @davidhogg111 #lauraingraham https://t.co/46DjdgE9Kz

My sister’s article about me an my partner Rick was written at my life’s darkest moment…I had just lost the love of my life. She did a complete about face over the years that followed actively campaigning against my right to marry. What an absolute betrayal. Monstrous.

My sister’s racist comments date back to her freshman days at Dartmouth when she would mock her black roommate by speaking jive with her friends. Shameful! #IngrahamAngle @IngrahamAngle @davidhogg111 @Hadas_Gold https://t.co/gmQOlqnhCC

This article resonated with me, especially given that my sister, Laura Ingraham, has adopted three immigrant children yet has taken such a hard line stance against immigration. The underlying hypocrisy is truly numbing and shameful. @davidhogg111 @IngrahamAngle @CNNPolitics

I can only apolgize for my sister’s mean-spirited remarks. We grew up with an abusive father who was a Nazi sympathizer, racist, anti-Semite and homophobe. Like father like daughter??? Shameful on all levels! Thanks for all you do to inspire others! @LeBronJames24x7

As of writing, Curtis has but 202 followers on the social media platform (which he joined in July 0f 2017), so his comments have gone mostly unnoticed. That’s about to change as his harsh sibling salvos are certain to raise eyebrows.
It’s never easy to watch family fights in broad daylight. But credit is due to the Ingraham parents for raising children with individual thought and beliefs!
