Midterm election day is approaching! The first polling places close at 6 p.m. on Tuesday, but cable news speculation is already turned up to 11.

Pundit wisdom holds that the Democrats will take then House while Republicans hold the Senate, but there remain chances for big upsets in key races.

Democrats look poised to win the majority of governorships up for grabs, and make big gains in the House. According to FiveThirtyEight, Democrats have a 7/8 chance of winning the House, while Republicans have a 5/6 chance of holding onto the Senate.
