How to Watch the 2016 White House Correspondents’ Dinner Live
On Saturday night, “Nerd Prom” as it is affectionately referred to as will take place once again in Washington, marking the final such event for the administration of President Barack Obama. The 2016 White House Correspondents’ Dinner begins at 7:30 p.m. ET on C-SPAN, and the broadcast every year is a must-watch event.
The 2016 installment of this event will feature Comedy Central’s Larry Wilmore as the featured entertainer, in a role that has previously featured Conan O’Brien, Jimmy Kimmel, and most famously Stephen Colbert in 2005 with then-President George W. Bush. “I like Obama a lot. But remember, I only supported him because he’s black so I can attack his positions all I want,” Wilmore recently joked.
Arrivals at the event’s red carpet begins at 5:30 p.m. ET, with the actual dinner beginning at 7:30 p.m. Wilmore — and then of course, President Obama himself — are expected to begin around 9:45 p.m.
We will update this post as livestream information becomes available.
