‘I’m Going to Answer Your Question!’: GOP Guest Takes On Joy Reid in Crazy Segment

In an extremely heated and pretty bonkers AM Joy segment, MSNBC host Joy Reid tussled with North Carolina GOP executive director Dallas Woodhouse over the recent legislation passed by outgoing Republican governor Pat McRory limiting the powers of his Democratic successor.

Woodhouse, who has a history of crazy interviews, dominated this segment despite another guest being brought in to provide the other side, State Representative Larry Hall. In fact, early on in the segment, while Woodhouse was filibustering, Reid tried to get in a word and the Republican said he was “going to answer your question.”

“I didn’t ask you a question,” Reid responded. She then pressed him to explain why he was citing someone in his argument who feels the Republicans went too far in North Carolina.

The GOP operative was pretty much the only one who spoke for the first few minutes, and when Hall finally jumped in, Woodhouse interrupted him numerous times, forcing Reid to instruct Woodhouse to let Hall finish.

Later on in the segment, which ran roughly 13 minutes, Reid and Woodhouse fought over what Reid felt were voter suppression efforts made by the Republican Party in the state, with the MSNBC host highlighting how the GOP bragged about how African-American voting was down in North Carolina.
