Judd Apatow Calls on FOX Stars to Condemn Trump Border Policy and His ‘Propaganda Arm’ Fox News

Director Judd Apatow is asking 21st Century Fox’s showrunners and talent to stand up to the company over Fox News’ coverage of the migrant family crisis at the U.S. southern border.
Apatow released a series of tweets on Monday, slamming Rupert Murdoch for promoting “evil ideas and greed and corruption” with his media empire’s coverage of President Trump and his administration’s separation of migrant children from their parents. Apatow conceded that he worked with Fox on his 2002 sitcom, Undeclared, but now, he’s calling on the media corporation’s most powerful figures to denounce the support and positive coverage Murdoch and the news division give to Trump’s policies.
I haven’t worked with Fox since 2002. That family promotes evil ideas and greed and corruption. We all choose who to work with. I understand why that is easier for some than others but many powerful people are powerful enough to speak up to their bosses at a moment like this. https://t.co/8NtsqsR8Xj

He is a fucking kidnapper! The Murdoch’s support these policies ! Where are the Fox stars and executives speaking up?! Imagine if it was your kids. Who has a movie, TV show, sporting event, news show at Fox? How can you remain silent when they promote these policies? https://t.co/jrPVKrxK6n

And I haven’t seen one new powerful person who works for or at Fox stand up and say they oppose their support of these cruel policies. Not one. Fox is like the NRA to politicians. If they said this is too far the President would stop this monsterous behavior. https://t.co/MufV1iQXxs

If EVERY Fox Star and show runner said this policy was evil and protested to the Murdoch family it would make a huge difference in this national debate. https://t.co/9Jo0ktbFPT

Not one new person who works for Fox or at Fox has spoken up strongly about their news channel supporting ripping families apart. https://t.co/98Y8EHWxsK

Apatow’s call for action comes Seth MacFarlane bashed Tucker Carlson for telling viewers that the “mainstream media” is lying to America and cannot be trusted. The Family Guy creator denounced Carlson’s call for blind obedience to Fox, lamenting that it “makes me embarrassed to work for this company.”
Last night, Modern Family co-creator Steve Levitan joined with MacFarlane as he condemned Laura Ingraham for describing Trump’s child detention centers as “summer camp.”
Let me officially join @SethMacFarlane in saying I’m disgusted to work at a company that has anything whatsoever to do with @FoxNews. This bullshit is the opposite of what #ModernFamily stands for. https://t.co/dnvIbgoIyA

Apatow saw this and is applauding Levitan for taking a stand against the Trump “propaganda arm.”
Thank you Steve ! We need as many people as possible to speak out against destroying families and how Fox News supports these policies. They are a propaganda arm of this evil administration and since they are a business we should let them know how we feel about that. https://t.co/t1TOLryqkl
