Maxine Waters Says ‘Sex Actions’ Detailed in Trump/Russia Dossier Are ‘Supposed to be True’

Earlier this week, after former British spy and author of the much-discussed (and unverified) Trump/Russia dossier Christopher Steele came out of hiding, Rep. Adam Schiff (D-CA) told MSNBC’s Rachel Maddow that he would look to seek testimony from Steele as it relates to the investigations into Russia.

Appearing on MSNBC today, Rep. Maxine Waters (D-CA) was asked by host Ali Velshi if she believed anything about the dossier. And the vocal Trump critic not only said she did, she openly discussed the most salacious details as if they had been verified to be true.

“I think it should be taken a look at,” Waters said. “I think they should really read it, understand it, analyze it and determine what’s fact and what may not be fact.”

She continued, “We already know that the part about the coverage that they have on him with sex actions is supposed to be true. They’ve said it’s absolutely true. Some other things that kind of allude to — I think he should go into that dossier and see what’s there.”

When Velshi pressed Waters over her saying she believes them to be true, she responded that it is why she feels investigations need to be done.

It was reported last month that investigators had corroborated some portions of the explosive dossier, which was first made public in January when BuzzFeed published it.
