Megyn Kelly Interviews Breitbart Reporter Allegedly Assaulted By Trump Staffer
On Friday night’s The Kelly File, (which aired at 3 am due to breaking news in the 9 pm hour) Megyn Kelly scored the first extensive interview with Michelle Fields, the Breitbart.com reporter who says she was assaulted by Donald Trump campaign manager Corey Lewandoswki last week. Despite eyewitness accounts by two journalists, the Trump campaign denied the incident, and various Breitbart staffers expressed skepticism about Fields’ account.
Since then, a mounting pile of video and audio evidence has emerged which support Fields’ account, and in her lengthy interview with Megyn Kelly, she talked about feeling betrayed by her doubters.
Fields expressed gratitude toward those Breitbart staffers who have been supportive, such as Editor-at-Large Ben Shapiro, but expressed disappointment at others. “The facts show this happened, and it is a shame that my bosses have decided to come out against the facts,” she told Kelly.
