Military Official: Iran to Train High Schoolers to Hunt Drones

 

Perhaps that town in Colorado was on to something.

The Associated Press reports that Iran’s Revolutionary Guard will begin teaching drone hunting to school children. According to an Iranian newspaper, General Ali Fazli, commander of the Basij militia, said the program will be part of Iranian high school’s “Defensive Readiness.”

Whereas Deer Park, Colorado hoped to bring down the drones via shotgun, Iran will teach students to hack into the drones’ elaborate computer tracking systems.

Downing a U.S. drone in Iran is not unprecedented. Iran has captured numerous drones in the past two years, mostly by manipulating their video feeds and GPS systems.
