The hunt is on for a suspect in Orlando, Florida after a female police officer was murdered in front of a Walmart on Monday.
The Orlando Police Department has confirmed that Master Sgt. Debra Clayton attempted to approach Markeith Loyd at a shopping center before she was shot and killed. Another deputy sheriff attempted to pursue Loyd before he stole a car and fled the scene of the crime.
Loyd was known to authorities, as he was wanted for murdering his pregnant girlfriend last month. The police department confirmed the details of the murder during a press conference, and they also released photos of Clayton and Loyd.
