Ouch! Watch This Olympic Runner Hit his Head After Nasty Fall
The 3000m Steeplechase, which requires runners to perform multiple jumps over three-foot high barriers, is considered to be a pretty grueling event. For Jacob Araptany of Uganda, it got downright painful.
Watch below, via NBC, as Araptany takes a violent tumble about halfway through Wednesday’s race after hitting his head against one of the barriers at full speed.
Araptany was unable to continue the race, but we’re happy to report that he did get up and walk off under his own power.

CORRECTION: The headline of this post originally misrepresented the nature of Araptany’s fall. He began falling prior to hitting his head against the barrier, not after, as the original headline implied.
