Roger Stone Denies Involvement With Sam Nunberg’s Meltdown: He ‘Marches to His Own Drummer’

As you certainly know by now, former President Donald Trump aide Sam Nunberg went on something of a media blitz yesterday — delivering a series of off the rails interviews.
One conspiracy theory floating around about the wild media tour, however, is that the entire blitz was orchestrated by longstanding unofficial Trump advisor Roger Stone, as some sort of Machiavellian attempt to do…uh…something or another. Stone and Nunberg, after all, are longtime allies and friends and Stone is no stranger to bizarre video appearances himself.
Stone tried to put the kibosh on this theory in a statement just posted to Facebook.
“Sam Nunberg marches to his own drummer. He’s not speaking at my behest or direction,” he wrote. “He is clearly not shy about expressing his own views.”
Stone also downplayed his role in the Trump campaign, taking the opportunity to deny allegations that he had colluded with Wikileaks to release hacked emails from Hillary Clinton and John Podesta during the 2016 campaign.
“I had no knowledge or involvement in Russian Collusion or any other inappropriate act,” he wrote. “Again I had no advance notice or knowledge of the source, content or exact timing of the Wikileaks disclosures regarding Hillary nor did I know about or predict the hacking and publication of John Podesta’s email.”
The Trump ally ended his statement by taking a stab at our intelligence network and former president Barack Obama.
“Obama DOJ and FBI used what they knew was fabricated evidence to justify the surveillance of the Republican candidate for president ‘s campaign in violation of the law and the constitution,” he wrote.
Stone is set to appear with Chuck Todd on MSNBC at 5 p.m. EST.
