Ronan Farrow and Jane Mayer Respond to Kavanaugh Denying New Yorker Report in Fox News Interview
Brett Kavanaugh categorically denied on Fox News tonight the new allegation of sexual misconduct in The New Yorker. Deborah Ramirez, as Ronan Farrow and Jane Mayer reported, alleges that Kavanaugh “had exposed himself at a drunken dormitory party, thrust his penis in her face, and caused her to touch it without her consent as she pushed him away.”
Kavanaugh said it never happened and if it had, it would’ve been the talk of campus. Anchor Martha MacCallum noted during the interview that Ramirez had been unsure at first before saying she felt “confident enough of her recollections.”
After Kavanaugh’s remarks, both Farrow and Mayer tweeted out reactions to his denial by pointing to what they had reported:
Worth considering re. Kavanaugh’s assertion that all men & women he knew in college consider this “inconceivable”: his roommate at the time is on the record saying Ramirez’s claim is credible and consistent with Kavanaugh’s behavior he witnessed: https://t.co/o8nTmjw2Vg https://t.co/24V4sCGONy

And so it was – a classmate who heard about it at the time told me he has thought of it every time he's heard Kavanaugh's name – for the last 35 years! https://t.co/T2dRDUvTG3
