Rush Limbaugh Takes Credit for MSNBC’s Ratings Woes

Rush Limbaugh today took some credit for MSNBC’s ratings woes, following record low ratings in the 25-54 demo for Ronan Farrow not just in his timeslot, but the lowest-ever for MSNBC in nine years.

Limbaugh took some shots at MSNBC for prioritizing “silly diversity” over actual content before getting to the humblebragging (minus the humble part). He explained that a while back, he decided to just boycott the use of any and all MSNBC clips on his show, and the timing of that big, important decision apparently coincides with MSNBC’s big ratings dip.

Limbaugh said, “They had a much higher audience when I was playing sound bites from that insane asylum every day on this program… so I banned ’em.”

So there you go. Obviously Rush Limbaugh is the reason why MSNBC’s doing so badly in the ratings right now.
