Sam Bee’s Not-the-WHCD Event Featured a ‘Drunk Dial Your Legislator’ Booth

At her “Not the White House Correspondents Dinner” event, Sam Bee let guests drunk dial their reps.
It’s a tidbit we found courtesy of Washington, D.C.’s shadow senator Paul Strauss:
Looking forward to getting some interesting phone calls from @iamsambee‘s #NotTheWHCD After-Party tonight. pic.twitter.com/U1TdnIdEe9

Bee, of course, was hosting the party to celebrate the press, but it wouldn’t really be one of her events without a call to activism mixed in there somewhere. She has said that her anti-WHCD party was more about honoring the press than dishonoring Donald Trump, who refused to show up, but given the liberal leanings of her TBS show, it’s likely some of her guests dishonored him in their phone calls to the legislators anyway.
This was more or less the IRL version of 5calls.org, which lets users contact their representatives immediately and even tells them exactly what to say.
