This Clip of Bartolo Colon Working Out is Just the Absolute Best

They call him “Big Sexy.” It was a nickname bestowed on him by his New York Mets teammates a few years ago. (Which he attempted to trademark.) Today, a clip emerged of Big Sexy doing some big exercise — and it is everything.

Bartolo Colon, the 43-year-old veteran pitcher, is getting ready for opening day 2017 — when he will join his new team, the Atlanta Braves. And in preparation for that day, the husky pitcher is getting in shape in the Dominican Republic with an apparently strict exercise regiment — one which happens to be just wonderful to watch.

The video spread quickly in baseball circles, even making its way to Atlanta Braves general manager John Coppolella, the man who offered Big Sexy a $12.5 million contract for the upcoming season. Coppolella was sent the link during a chat he was conducting on the official Braves Twitter account.
