This Girl Who Stopped for a Snack Mid-Run Is All of Us
Not all heroes wear capes. In this case, they wear running gear, and this 8-year-old girl has won the Internet and all of our hearts. Buzzfeed reports that 17-year-old Briseyda Ponce lives with her younger cousin Allysson Baires. Briseyda runs every day and recently her cousin asked if she could come and told her that there were kids, including her crush Hector, who had been calling her fat.
Briseyda said she could come along on the run but that she should exercise “because she wants to be healthy, not because of others’ opinions about her body.” She said the two “laughed it off.”
Mid-run, Briseyda turned around to find Allysson eating a Rice Krispie Treat. She took photos of the hilarious moment, and posted them to Twitter:
