Trump Says Geneva Convention Is a ‘Problem,’ Makes Soldiers ‘Afraid to Fight’

Donald Trump said that the Geneva Convention was a “problem,” because the “rules and regulations” made American soldiers “afraid to fight.”

“We can’t waterboard, but they can chop off heads,” Trump added. “I think we’ve got to make some changes, some adjustments.”

The GOP frontrunner made the remarks during a town hall Wednesday afternoon, and they echo truculent stances the candidate has taken before, specifically on torture and on expanding warfare beyond what is currently legally defined.
