Trump Tweets Thanks to Steve Bannon for His Service

President Trump was quick to announce Reince Priebus‘ departure on Twitter, but he did not tweet about Steve Bannon‘s departure until this morning:

I want to thank Steve Bannon for his service. He came to the campaign during my run against Crooked Hillary Clinton – it was great! Thanks S

Trump has reportedly fumed in private about how big a “self-aggrandizer” he believes Bannon to be.

However, whatever the President’s feelings may be, Bannon has made it clear in his statements since leaving that for now his fight is not with Trump, but with others in the White House who he believes are getting in the way of his agenda being implemented.
