New Jersey Gov. Chris Christie took to Twitter last night to give his condolences to the family of former New York Gov. Mario Cuomo, who passed away yesterday. One of the tweets contained a slight grammatical error, and Twitter trolls pounced relentlessly. It was mostly random people who took issue with the mistake, but even a local newspaper in Albany chimed in.
He was a strong, eloquent leader who loved New York and it's people.

@GovChristie @timesunion RE: "it's" people? Please hire me as a spot proofreader so you won't sound inept when reporting important news.

@govchristie Apostrophe abuse by the Governor!

@GovChristie check your grammar, especially when using another politician's death to shamelessly promote yourself.

@GovChristie @Olivianuzzi it is people?

And one reporter had enough:
Oh my god twitter trolls mocking Christie for saying "it's" instead of "its" in his message about someone's death go fuck yourselves.
